Launch at the Gothenburg Book Fair!

Thursday the 26th of September 2024 is marked as significant for Readioo’s history: We launched our first products at the Gothenburg Book Fair!

It was finally time to share it with the public, eight months after Readioo was founded. The entire team went down to Gothenburg from Stockholm to set up our booth and to spread the joy of reading to all the tens of thousands of visitors. We were excited, for most of us it was our first time at the fair and we didn't quite know what to expect, except for lots of people and books. 

We arrived Wednesday night, swung by our storage in Borås to pick up the boxes filled with our newly delivered products, and headed over to the fair in Gothia Towers. B08:06 with 2x2 square meters of surface was ours. We hade to be quick to get all the wallpaper, lamps and decorations up before the Thursday would welcome visitors from all corners of the country. A lot of them came by our little booth and became the some of the first people to discover Readioo. The children sat down with the reading pen Readioo 1.0 in their hand and the books in front of them, unwilling to tear themselves away from our booth without a reading pen of their own to bring home. 

"Wow this is so cool", "Oh what an awesome thing" and "How does it work?" were common reactions we got during the fairs four days. 

We got the chance to talk to so many lovely people, and we ourselves were completely absorbed by the atmosphere, especially when we sold our first products. it felt really powerful to finally be there and see the vision actually come to life.
